Dixie Quilt Guild Biennial Quilt Show

The Guild will hold is second quilt show in April 2009. Pat Peters, Guild President for the 2008-09 year, 2007 quilt show chairman, and winner of Best of Show with her “Magical Medallions” will be the featured quilter. There will be a special exhibit of quilts and wearables by renowned quilt artist Marilyn Badger. Also included will be a display of quilts from the Guild challenge, a youth section, and several other special exhibits. An important part of the show will be the Vendor Mall where you can shop for special quilting fabrics, patterns, notions and gifts.

 

The show will feature quilts for exhibit only and also for judging. Entries will be judged by an NQA certified judge along with two well qualified judges from the Intermountain area. If you are interested in exhibiting a quilt, for judging or exhibit only, please complete the Quilt Show Entry Form and return it to the address on the form. Applications are due January 31, 2009.

 

If you are interested in participating as a vendor, please complete the  Vendor Application and return it to the address on the form. Vendor Applications are due September 1, 2008.

 

The show will be held at the Dixie Center, 1835 S. Convention Center Drive in St. George. It will be open on Friday, April 10, 2009 from 10 am until 8 pm and on Saturday, April 11, 2009 from 10 am until 5 pm. There is an entrance fee of $5 for adults and $3 for children under 10.

 

In April 2007, we exhibited over 200 quilts, featured Blanche Young, had two special exhibits, and 27 vendors. Our first show attracted over 1500 visitors in the two days the show was open.

 

St. George is located in the southwest corner of Utah, just 120 miles north of Las Vegas on Interstate 15 and 45 minutes from Zion National Park.
