Megan LeGas, Multi-Award-Winning Quilter  ~Skills Class~
Workshop Fee: $25
If you have stayed away from certain patterns or quilt blocks because of stumbling block challenges, this class is for you! Avoiding stumbling blocks can inhibit your quilt designs and block choices, including:
– Curved piecing
– Set-in Y-seams
– Mitered borders
– Partial seams
Learn easy tricks and methods to produce accurate and consistent piecing for these tricky blocks. Expand your confidence while making a sample to practice your new skills. Learn to miter multiple borders with perfection.

Bonnie Miles  ~English Paper Piecing Isn’t just for Grannies~
Workshop Fee:  $20
This fun technique workshop will introduce you to all the little tips and tricks for working with English Paper piecing. You will learn things like where to get the papers (for free), which method works best for securing the papers, which needles and threads are your friends, how to consider and measure different-sized papers, how to fussy cut your fabrics, to glue or not to glue, and myriad ways to use these little rosettes. Or not use rosettes. You’ll be amazed at how enjoyable this is.

Sherrill Ash  ~Paper Piecing Project~
Workshop Fee:  $20
Create a striking block and master a new technique at the same time. Foundation paper piecing allows you to piece unusual shapes accurately and with ease. Learn all of Sherrill’s tips and tricks to make paper piecing a new favorite method for quilts. This will include how to measure the foundations and pre-cut your fabrics

Workshops offer a fun way to learn new techniques, meet fellow quilters, and enjoy time with your quilting.

The Guild requires that payment be made at the time of sign-up. If a kit or pattern is required, it must be paid for prior to the class. The workshop fee is paid to the Guild, and the kit fee is paid to the teacher.   

  • Cash and checks are preferred over credit cards, when paying at Guild meetings.
  • Register for Workshops online by using PayPal.
  • Workshops require payment in advance, as well as materials and a sign-up.
  • ***WORKSHOP FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE***
  • Workshops are typically held once a month.
  • Workshops are held in various locations.
  • Each month, we will give you detailed information for upcoming Workshops at our Guild meetings and in our Newsletter.
  • As a reminder, please wear your nametag to the workshop.
