“Don’t just choose joy… Create joy!”

“Read the Newsletter!”

“I want you to feel like you belong.”

“Of course, we’re having cookies; we’re not barbarians!”

“The more nervous I am, the bossier I get!”

“The world needs the quilt you are going to make.”

“Consider this:  There were NO members under the age of 50 at our January Guild meeting.  If you’re leaving the sacrifice of service to the “younger members”, please reconsider, and volunteer or say YES when asked to help!”

“It’s easy to get to know another quilter.”

“You could have the freshest, juiciest peach in the whole world, and still find someone who just doesn’t like peaches; not everyone will like all quilts.”

“Close your eyes and remember what it was like to be 7 years old.  Just get in there and create!”

“Be ‘that kid’ who goes around the neighborhood to ask if they have kids, and how old they are.  Introduce yourself and get to know the ‘old kids’ in the Guild.”

“Are you recovered yet?  The Quilt Show was fantastic…  ‘A national show with a small-town feel’.”

“Next year’s Guild challenge quilt is a surprise, like ‘What’s for dinner?'”

“I have changed my motto from ‘It’ll be fine’ to ‘It’ll be WEIRD, but it’ll be FINE’.”

“Thanks, everyone!  It has been a great year!”
